Internships

_MG_2121.jpg

Centerboard welcomes student interns from multiple colleges and Universities who are pursuing a degree in a human service field (Social Work, Mental Health, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, etc.) and can be in an Associates, Bachelor or Master degree program.  Centerboard considers student interns who can commit to a 7-9 month internship (two semesters).

Centerboard thrives on providing students with an inclusive, educational experience across diverse populations and programs.  We have a variety of learning opportunities in our residential, community, and housing programs where you will have the opportunity to provide direct and indirect services to youth and their families at the micro, mezzo, and macro levels.

Interns will have the opportunity to attend trainings that are provided by Centerboard.  They include: CPR/First Aid, Crisis De-escalation and Intervention, HIPAA, OSHA, Ethics and Boundaries, Trauma Informed Care/Collaborative & Proactive Solutions, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and more!

Contact HR@centerboard.org for more information.

Testimonials

“Interning at Centerboard has opened up so many opportunities in the field of not only Social Work but in the world of nonprofit. I have learned more about diversity, teamwork, and community outreach during this internship than through my entire Social Work Education thus far.”
— Olivia Grinstead, BSW intern 2019-2020 (and now full time employee of Centerboard!)
