Empowerment Scholarship

We are now accepting applications! The recipients of Centerboard’s Empowerment Scholarship will be announced in July 2024. Funded in part by our annual Fore Fun Golf Tournament, this scholarship is for students who:

• Are at least 18 years of age

• Are attending a two or four year degree program at an in-person or online college or university

• Are in need of financial assistance to realize their educational goals

• Able to attend an award ceremony in person in August

The brain-child of our Mentor Coordinator, Dany Acosta, Centerboard’s Empowerment Scholarship is open to all residents of North Shore Communities regardless of immigration status. You do not need to be receiving services from Centerboard to apply. The scholarship is $1,000.
